Galaxy FM/TV CEO Innocent Nahabwe has spilled a little–known secret about how Bobi Wine once had a golden chance to become part–owner of the Kansanga–based station but he turned it down!
Speaking on a recent podcast, Nahabwe shared how the offer was made about 5–6 years ago, back when Galaxy FM was still just an idea.

According to him, the proposal first came up during a meeting at Serena Hotel, where he told Bobi Wine that the team was starting a brand new radio station and they were ready to give him 10% ownership.
But to his surprise, Bobi Wine who turned Politican declined.
Nahabwe says the then musician wasn’t fully convinced the project would be a smart investment at the time, since Galaxy FM was still in its early stages.

Fast-forward a few years later at Club Amnesia, during Bobi Wine’s birthday celebrations, the singer-turned-politician casually reminded Nahabwe that he was once meant to be part of the Galaxy journey.
“Do you know I was supposed to be part of this thing?” Bobi told him a moment that took Nahabwe back to the day the offer was turned down.
Today, with Galaxy FM standing tall as one of Uganda’s biggest and most influential youth stations, that 10% stake would have been massive.
