Fashion and designing has over the years become more important in the Country’s context and the following are the masterminds behind most of the fashion trends in the Pearl of Africa
1. Abryanz
Original names, Brian Ahumuza is a Ugandan fashion designer who kicked offhis career in 2009 when he started his own fashion label the Abryanz Collection.
His designs have therefore over the years showcased in Uganda, Nigeria, South Africa and at the Africa fashion week. Abryanz has also been privileged to feature in different issues of prestigious Vogue magazines.
2. Slyvia Owori
She is a Ugandan fashion designer and entrepreneur. Slyvia Owori is the Chairperson and Chief Executive Officer of Zipper Modeling Agency a company which she founded and owns.
3. Anita Beryl
Born 11th January 1986, Anita Beryl is a Ugandan fashion designer , Couturier and Entrepreneur who is also the creative director of the Beryl Qouture a Ugandan Fashion House.
4. Abbas Kaijuka
A Ugandan fashion designer, stylist and fashion collector well known for his brand the Kai ‘s Divo . He won the Male Fashion Designer of the year Award in 2020 at the East African Fashion Awards.
5. Solomon Tazibone
He is an award winning Fashion stylist, tv host at NTV Ug , digital creator and film costume designer and the founder of Credibility Uganda.
To mention but a few, the above fashion designers have through their skills, talent and gifted hands uplifted Uganda’s fashion industry.
