The uncle of president Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, Ephraim Bimanywa is dead.
According to an official statement released regarding his passing , he breathed his last on Wednesday morning 29th May ,2024 at Nakasero Hospital.
” With profound sadness, I announce the passing on of our beloved grandfather and H:E KagutaMuseveni Uncle Emphraim Bimanywa today at Nakasero Hospital.
My Condolences to the Kaguta family, the Basiita clan and all Ugandans.
May comfort wrap our families during this difficult time”, Hon Kangwagye Stephen Rwakanuma wrote on his X account on Wednesday.
Although the cause of his death and burial arrangements have not been disclosed, we are still awaiting further information to understand what might have led to this tragic event.
Solidarity messages and condolences have been coming through and among is Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja and Speaker of Parliament Anita Annet Among . They expressed their sympathies through posts on X / formerly twitter.
