Ugandan police have launched a manhunt for controversial singer Alien Skin, born Mugwanya Patrick, in connection with the alleged murder of former Fangone Forest music group member Wilfred Namuwaya.

According to police reports, Namuwaya died on September 22, 2025, after sustaining injuries from a beating allegedly ordered by Alien Skin.

Authorities say the incident stems from Namuwaya’s departure from the Fangone Forest group, reportedly without the singer’s permission.

On September 20, Namuwaya was allegedly abducted from his home in Ndeeba by a man identified as Musomali, a known associate of Fangone Forest. Police claim Musomali acted under Alien Skin’s instructions to “discipline” Namuwaya.

The victim was later abandoned in Mpomba Zone, where a good Samaritan found him and rushed him to Mulago Hospital. Despite efforts to save him, he succumbed to his injuries two days later.

Speaking on the matter, Police Spokesperson SSP Patrick Onyango stated:

“The suspects, including Alien Skin, orchestrated a violent attack on the victim. This is a serious matter, and we are committed to ensuring that everyone involved faces justice.”

This is not Alien Skin’s first brush with the law. In December 2024, he was remanded to Luzira Prison on robbery charges after footage emerged showing members of his entourage assaulting hospital staff and security guards at Nsambya Hospital.

The singer was accused of encouraging the violence and was formally charged with the theft of an iPhone 15 Pro, Shs480,000, and a wallet containing a national ID belonging to Salim Mubiru.

He denied all charges, and the case was adjourned to December 9, 2024.

The incident drew mixed reactions from the public and fellow artists. Musician Pius Mayanja, better known as Pallaso, initially defended Alien Skin, stating:

“Locking him up won’t solve the real problems ghetto youths face. The places they used to hustle from are now buildings. These kids hang around artists because they have nowhere else to go.”

However, tensions between the two later erupted into violence. In January 2025, Pallaso allegedly led a group that attacked Alien Skin’s residence in Makindye, hours after a confrontation in Buloba, Wakiso District. Eyewitnesses and videos circulating on social media captured Pallaso allegedly leading the assault, damaging property, and injuring members of Alien Skin’s team. Reports claim the singer hid in his ceiling to avoid harm.

Alien Skin has also been involved in political confrontations. In December 2024, he was accused of organizing gangs to attack supporters of the National Unity Platform (NUP) at the party’s Makerere Kavule headquarters, further blurring the line between his entertainment career and political activism.

Police are now appealing to the public for any information that could lead to the arrest of Alien Skin and his alleged accomplices: Commander Mdogo, Ibra Kabadiya, and Mijagulo.

“The investigation is ongoing,” SSP Onyango said. “We urge anyone with information about their whereabouts to come forward.”

This latest incident marks a troubling escalation in Alien Skin’s history of public altercations and has renewed calls for accountability within the Ugandan entertainment industry.
