Celebrated Ugandan comedian Patrick Salvado has officially announced a major show to commemorate 15 years in the comedy industry.
Popularly known as “The Man from Ombokolo,” Salvado revealed the news through his social media channels, hinting that the upcoming show “will be something special.”
Before stepping into the world of comedy, Salvado trained as a telecommunications engineer and held a position at one of Uganda’s leading telecom firms. But in 2011, he made a daring switch leaving the corporate world behind to chase laughs for a living.
“I was doing serious work but making unserious money. So I figured I might as well make serious money from being unserious.”he once joked in an interview.
His gamble paid off. Over the past decade and a half, Salvado has grown into one of Africa’s most respected comedic talents, gracing stages across the continent and around the globe.
The anniversary show is scheduled for August 30, 2025. More information about the venue and tickets will be released in the coming weeks.
