An emotional scene unfolded at House of Prayer Ministries International when Pastor Bugingo broke down in front of his congregation, openly expressing his desire to reunite with his estranged wife, Teddy Naluswa Bugingo, and their children.
In a heartfelt address, he also shared his hopes of having twins with his current partner, Susan Makula.
“I miss my family. I want my children back and to reconcile with Teddy,” Bugingo said his voice trembling with emotion. Tears filled his eyes as he spoke, moving many in the congregation to silence, while others were visibly touched by his vulnerability.
Known for his candid sermons, Pastor Bugingo went on to name each of his children: Gift Kirabo Bugingo, Winnie Treasure Bugingo, Jennifer Blessed Bugingo, and Isaac Bugingo during a moment of prayer.
He revealed that the last time he saw his only son Isaac, the boy was just three years old. Now older, Bugingo admitted the prolonged separation has deeply affected him.
The pastor’s separation from Teddy, the mother of his children, has been one of Uganda’s most public and contentious breakups, drawing significant media attention.

Following their split, Pastor Bugingo entered into a relationship with Susan Makula, his former radio producer, whom he has introduced as his wife and co-pastor over the past seven years.
Despite their apparent happiness in public, Bugingo acknowledged a personal struggle they continue to face not having a child together. He spoke openly about the societal pressures Susan endures because of it.
“People insult her for not bearing me a child, but I feel deeply loved and well cared for. Some families have children but lack peace ours has love and harmony.”Bugingo shared.

He ended the emotional service by asking his congregation to join him in prayer for reconciliation with his children and former wife, and for God to bless Susan Makula with twins.
