NUP’s Sauda Madada Rushed for Urgent Care After Vomiting Blood in Court Cell

There was panic at Kanyana Chief Magistrates Court on Tuesday after Grade One Magistrate ordered urgent medical attention for National Unity Platform (NUP) supporter Sauda Madada, whose health took a dangerous turn while in detention.

According to reports, Madadawho has spent over two months on remand was seen vomiting blood, prompting immediate concern. She is part of the group arrested for allegedly staging an unsanctioned birthday parade for NUP president Robert Kyagulanyi (Bobi Wine).

Magistrate Agumasiimwe made an unexpected visit to the court holding cells and was shocked by Madada’s condition. After inspecting the cells, she ruled that Madada was unfit to appear in court.

The Magistrate immediately directed officials to transfer her to a health facility, emphasizing that the judiciary must protect the lives and welfare of detainees.
