Unconfirmed reports suggest that NBS TV, based in Naguru has suspended one of its prominent presenters, Zambaali Bulasio Mukasa, due to his association with Hon. Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, also known as Bobi Wine, and his political party, the National Unity Platform (NUP).
Zambaaali recently announced his intention to run for a parliamentary seat in Nansana Municipality under the NUP banner and has been actively involved in party campaigns.
He notably supported Counsel Elias Nalukoola Luyimbazi during the Kawempe North by-election, participating in various rallies and events. At one such rally, he declared that remaining neutral during times of oppression is equivalent to supporting the oppressor, which led to his public commitment to NUP’s cause.

Reports suggest that Zambaali’s suspension may be linked to his political activities. He was notably absent from the previous night’s Barometer Show, which was instead hosted by fellow presenter Adam Kungu.
Sources claim that his troubles with NBS TV began after an incident at King Saha’s concert at Hotel Africana, where he publicly praised Bobi Wine, leading to a first warning.
He reportedly received a second warning after a heated confrontation with David Kabanda, a coordinator for Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s camp in Buganda.
With his position at NBS TV now in question, Zambaali Bulasio Mukasa may be forced to focus entirely on his political ambitions, particularly as he seeks to strengthen his chances for a parliamentary seat within NUP.

This situation has raised concerns among the public, particularly as another NBS colleague, Victoria Bagaya, is also pursuing a political career.
