Media personality Ssenga Justine Nantume has bravely shared a painful chapter of her past, revealing how an ex-boyfriend assaulted her after she caught him with another woman.
Speaking during a candid conversation on a YouTube podcast with fellow hosts Bina Babie and Doreen, Nantume opened up about being in a toxic relationship with a man she described as both abusive and unfaithful.
Recounting the incident, Nantume said it happened one night at a popular bar. She had asked her partner to take her home, only to find him sitting in her car with another woman. Trying to maintain composure, she knelt down and respectfully greeted everyone present. To her shock, this act triggered an outburst.
“He got out of the car and started slapping me in front of our friends,he was furious. He even disorganized my clothes as he attacked me.”Nantume recalled.
Despite being a public figure, Nantume expressed her gratitude to the onlookers who chose not to record or share the incident online.

“I want to thank the people who were at the bar that night. No one recorded a video or posted anything on social media. I quietly got on a boda boda and left. His friends even confronted him afterward, telling him I didn’t deserve that kind of treatment because I had always been good to them,” she said.
Following the attack, Nantume decided to end the relationship for good. With the support of her brother, she reclaimed her car and distanced herself completely.
“I went home and cried while praying with my rosary, asking God to remove him from my life,I took my car to the village and, two weeks later, I bought a new one. He kept calling, asking for forgiveness, but I’ve never picked up his calls since.”she shared.
Her story serves as a powerful reminder about the importance of walking away from abusive relationships and finding strength in self-worth and support from loved ones.
