Uganda Cranes Striker, Muhammad Shaban has officially announced his departure from KCCA FC, ending his two-year tenure with the club as his contract expires.

Shaban, the Uganda Premier League’s top scorer last season with 17 goals, expressed his gratitude to the KCCA FC management, teammates, and fans via his social media platforms on Thursday.

“It is with a heavy heart that I announce my departure from this incredible club after two unforgettable seasons. The memories made, victories celebrated, and bonds formed will forever hold a special place in my heart. I am grateful for the unwavering support, passion, and dedication shown by each and every one of you,” Shaban shared.

“As I embark on a new chapter in my career, I want to express my sincerest gratitude to the fans who have stood by me through thick and thin. Your cheers, chants, and unwavering support have motivated me to give my all on the field.”

“Although my time at the club may be coming to an end, I promise to keep you informed of my next move. Your continued support means the world to me, and I look forward to sharing the next step of this journey with you.”

Earlier reports confirmed that Shaban would be leaving the 13-time Uganda Premier League champions after failing to agree on terms for a contract extension.

Tanzanian giants Young Africans and Kenyan giants Gor Mahia are both vying for his signature.

Shaban’s career has seen him play for Onduparaka FC, KCCA FC, Raja Casablanca, and Vipers SC.
