Kadongo Kamu singer and politician Mathias Walukagga has firmly denied rumors of a secret relationship with fellow musician Bettinah Namukasa.
Recently, Mathias Walukagga revealed he was in a serious relationship and preparing to make it official.
Mathias Walukagga also shared that he has been committed to his partner for the past seven years, but declined to disclose her identity. However, unverified reports have long speculated that his partner is Bettinah Namukasa.

In an interview with Spark TV, Walukagga quickly dismissed the rumors, stating that he is not in a relationship with Bettinah. He clarified that while they share a professional friendship as artists, they do not interact on a personal level.
“It’s not true that Bettinah Namukasa is my fiancée. I don’t think of her that way, though she’s a good friend. We don’t even greet each other. I don’t know where the media is getting this from,” he said.
The rumors were sparked after Walukagga mentioned during Geoffrey Lutaaya’s concert that he would soon be the son-in-law of Da New Eagles Production boss, leading many to assume he was referring to marriage plans with Namukasa, who Geoffrey Lutaaya often refers to as his daughter.
The Kyengera Town Council Mayor took the opportunity to refute the allegations, urging journalists to turn off their cameras.

“Bettinah is a talented artist, and Geoffrey raised her well. These rumors could damage her current relationship,” Walukagga added.
