Ugandan singer Dan Flavour, real name Daniel Tumwesigye, has opened up about a painful experience involving fellow artist Lydia Nabawanuka alias Lydia Jazmine , claiming the ordeal nearly drove him into depression and suicidal thoughts.
In an emotional recount of events, Dan Flavour revealed that his relationship with Jazmine began on a positive and friendly note. However, things took a drastic turn that not only strained their friendship but also led to his imprisonment.
“At one point, Lydia Jazmine made me hate this country.I almost considered taking my own life. I kept asking myself why I was suffering in a country I once loved, especially since she initially came across as a good person. But then, she turned around and took the matter to the police.”,he said .
According to Dan Flavour, the fallout began when he rented a house in Munyonyo to operate an Airbnb business. A broker he worked with introduced Lydia Jazmine as a potential client.
She expressed interest in the property and agreed to a rental fee of Shs2.5 million per month. Jazmine paid for eight months upfront, totaling around Shs24 million.

After moving in, she brought her family to the house, took photos and posted it on her social media platforms, thanking God for having got a new home.
The news reached the landlord of the house, who resides in Norway who then raised an alarm, accusing Dan Flavour of selling his property without consent, prompting a police search for Dan.
As the situation escalated, Lydia Jazmine reported Dan Flavour to Kabalagala Police Station, accusing him of fraudulently obtaining money from her under false pretenses.

Lydia Jazmine is yet to respond to Dan Flavour’s allegations and We will keep you posted .
