Renowned Ugandan singer Mansour Ssemanda, popularly known as King Saha, has once again expressed his readiness to lead the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) if current president Eddy Kenzo is no longer interested in holding the position.
Speaking with determination in an interview , the “Hullo Hullo” hitmaker said he remains passionate about fighting for artists’ rights and pushing for long-delayed reforms in the Ugandan music industry.

Saha, who once contested for the Uganda Musicians Association (UMA) presidency two years ago but later withdrew, noted that his focus is not on seeking financial aid from the government but rather on the urgent need for the long-overdue Copyright Law and proper policies to protect musicians’ work.
“We need the copyright law and then start looking at policies and monitoring. I’m still available, and if they feel the burden, let them hand over the authority to me. I’ll go demand for it in the right way up to Parliament,” Saha stated.
The singer, who currently serves as the acting Vice President of UMA, added that he is ready to physically take the fight to Parliament if that’s what it takes to see change happen.

“I’m ready to leave my home in Nakawuka, put on my overall, and storm Parliament to demand the amendment of the copyright law on behalf of all artists. Those people see and hear us, but they don’t act. The law would benefit many people, and I’m still on that agenda,” he added.
King Saha’s bold declaration comes at a time when discussions around leadership and unity in the music industry continue to dominate headlines.
