KFM’s Faiza Fabz Remanded to Luzira Prison Until July 30th

KFM Radio Presenter,and three others have been remanded to Luzira Prison until July 30, 2024, following their arrest on July 23 during peaceful protests against corruption.

The protest, dubbed “March 2 Parliament,” was organized by Ugandans

to express dissatisfaction with ongoing corruption among government officials.

During the demonstration, a large number of police officers were deployed in Kampala, leading to the arrest and detention of several protesters at various police stations.

Faiza Fabz and her colleagues were among those arrested and were initially held at Jinja Road Police Station.

On Tuesday, the four individuals were brought before the court and charged with being a common nuisance, as well as being idle and disorderly.

They were remanded to Luzira Prison and are scheduled to appear in court again on July 30, 2024.
