Ugandan music star and Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) president Eddy Kenzo has finally responded to MC Kats’ claims that the Federation did little to support singer Fille Mutoni during her rehabilitation.
MC Kats, Fille’s former partner, recently took to social media accusing UNMF of lying about financially supporting the singer. He disputed reports that the Federation gave Fille UGX 15 million and him UGX 10 million, insisting UNMF only facilitated her stay for about three months before stepping back.

Speaking out, Kenzo dismissed the accusations, saying neither he nor UNMF ever publicly claimed to have given out such amounts.
“It’s my first time hearing about that money. “What I know is that Fille came to us when she was unwell. We accommodated and rehabilitated her at the Federation, later took her to a rehab facility, and released her when she got better.”, Kenzo said.
Kenzo explained that after her recovery, UNMF even organized a welcome party for Fille before she later relocated to Rwanda, marking the end of the Federation’s direct involvement in her personal matters.

“That meant she was out of our hands and independent to run her own life like anyone else,” he added.
The Big Talent boss described some circulating statements as misleading propaganda but stressed he holds no grudge against MC Kats, saying he has never wronged him.
Kenzo also clarified the Federation’s role, noting that while UNMF supports musicians, it cannot single-handedly solve every problem in the industry.
“The Federation cannot finish all the problems; we can only assist. “We have thousands of musicians across the country. It’s unfortunate when anyone expects the Federation to carry their responsibilities until the very end.”, Kenzo noted.
