Ugandan singer Kapa Cat has addressed a viral video that captured a tense confrontation between her and a club owner, shedding light on the events that led to the dramatic exchange.

The incident took place at Liquor Shade, a popular bar in Kamwokya, where Kapa Cat had been booked to perform with her band.

Sources alleges that the  artist was scheduled to hit the stage at 11:00 PM and had received a deposit of UGX 500,000 ahead of the show. However, patrons and management were left frustrated when she only arrived at 2:00 AM after the venue had already closed.

Her late appearance triggered a heated altercation with the bar manager, which quickly went viral online.

In an interview with Sanyuka Uncut, Kapa Cat explained that the confrontation stemmed from a dispute over payment.

“I had been booked to perform at his club,but after the show, he took my car keys and refused to pay the remaining balance. That’s why I was so upset that night. Thankfully, the issue was later sorted out.”,she said.

The singer also reflected on her recent trip to London, calling it a welcome change from the challenges she faces at home.

“Everything there is so well-organized,It’s such a good place to liveI really loved how everything was set up.”,she said.
