Renowned city socialite Judith Heard has extended her support to singer Geosteady as he battles drug addiction, urging the public to recognize the devastating toll it takes not just on individuals but also on their families.

Taking to X, Judith Heard expressed her concern and prayers for the artist, emphasizing the need for compassion and awareness in addressing addiction.

Geosteady has been out of the public eye for some time, with reports of his struggles surfacing last year. His girlfriend and mother of his child, Hindu Kay, reportedly sought professional help for him, leading to his admission into a rehabilitation facility.

However, updates on his recovery have been scarce, and his last known social media activity dates back to February 1st.

On his recent birthday, his ex-girlfriend Minaj Maraj took to Instagram to send him well wishes, writing:

“Happiest Birthday, Hassan. Situka, tutambule. Your fans miss your vocals.”

The heartfelt message resonated with many, including Judith Heard, who used the opportunity to raise awareness about the realities of addiction. She reflected on Geosteady’s talent and the pain his struggles have caused, not just for him but for those who love and support him.

“This is the pain that families endure when a loved one is battling addiction. Hassan (Geosteady) was one of my favorite artists in Uganda. His voice, his gift, his presence meant so much to so many of us.

We don’t share this to shame but to remind everyone: addiction doesn’t just hurt the person struggling—it affects their entire family. We need to stop glamorizing substance use, stop watching people spiral in silence, and start doing the real work of saving the next generation with truth, love, and accountability.
