The legendary musician Jose Chameleone’s elder brother, Humphrey Mayanja who passed on Saturday will be buried on Wednesday ( 2nd / April /2024) after four days of mourning.
According to the burial arrangement program shared by the Mayanja family , through singer Jose Chameleone, he expressed gratitude to all those standing with them during this difficult time as he shared the details concerning the send off of their late elder brother Humphrey.
According to the program on Tuesday there will be requiem mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church ,Lweza at 12 noon where his family and friends will pray for his soul and thereafter Vigil at Kitiko kigo near Memorial hospital.
And on Wednesday Humphrey’s body will be transported to his ancestral home in in Kalangaalo, Singo off Mubende road where he will laid to his rest but before there will be service held in noon at Kalangaalo.
Humphrey lost the battle to cancer at the Mulago based Uganda Cancer Institute on Saturday morning.
His family had recently brought him back from the United States to get treatment close to home and surrounded by his people.
Humphrey Mayanja’s ailment was noticed in July last year, upon his arrival in the US from Uganda
He was rushed to the hospital with severe stomach pain and underwent major surgery.
Early this month, his father Gerald Mayanja confirmed that his eldest son was being treated for stage-four colon cancer.
