Jamaican dancehall superstar Spice, real name Grace Latoya Hamilton, has officially called off her highly anticipated Uganda concert that was set for December 6, 2025, at Lugogo Cricket Oval.
The show, dubbed “Safari Beats”, had been one of the most awaited December events, with thousands of fans ready to witness the queen of dancehall return to the Ugandan stage.
However, Spice shocked fans on Tuesday evening after releasing a statement on her social media, confirming she would not be attending the concert due to contractual issues with the promoters.
“ATTENTION!!! I will not be attending this event in Uganda on December 6th. I was truly excited and looking forward to meeting my brothers and sisters there, but unfortunately the promoter did not fulfill the contractual agreements.” , Spice noted.
Sources say negotiations had dragged on for weeks, but Spice’s team was left with no choice but to pull out after the promoter allegedly failed to meet key obligations.
Spice also reassured Ugandan fans that she still loves them and hopes to return once proper arrangements are made.
Her visit was expected to start on December 2nd, including a tour of several iconic cultural and historical sites within the Buganda Kingdom.
As of now, organizers have not released an official statement regarding refunds or a possible new date.
