Media Personality Sheilah Gashumba recently made headlines with her departure from NBS TV, citing a clash in musical tastes with her fellow hosts as the reason behind her resignation.
After a successful stint on Next Media’s After 5 show alongside Douglas Lwanga, MC Kats, DJ Roja, and DVJ Mercy, Sheilah Gashumba decided to step down after 15 months and joined NRG Radio Uganda.
Despite rumors suggesting a desire for a higher salary, Sheilah Gashumba has clarified that her departure was driven by a desire to showcase fresh talent, particularly that of Joshua Baraka, who had just begun his music career at the time.
She lamented the resistance she faced from her colleagues and the show’s producer in incorporating new sounds and topics.
She further expressed her frustration with the repetitive topics and music constantly addressed on the NBS After 5 show , which ultimately led to her decision to leave.
