Ugandan singer Joshua Baraka has finally opened up about his relationship plans with media personality Etania Mutoni and why the two are not ready to become parents anytime soon.
Baraka and Etania, who dated privately for a year before going public, say they had actually planned to keep their relationship off social media forever. But at some point, Baraka says it made more sense to “live their truth” than continue hiding.
Speaking about settling down like many celebrity couples are doing lately in recent interview with Gagamel TV, Joshua admitted the dream is there but they are not in a hurry.
“Yes, and amen. If you’re in a serious relationship, you pray for that. I’m just giving it time, and hopefully, God willing, we will do it,” he said.
However, babies are not on the table right now. Baraka explained that both he and Etania are still building their careers, and having children would slow them down.
“I don’t think I can quit music, and I don’t think she can ask me to. And I can’t do that to her either. That’s why we don’t have children right now. We are swamped. She has a very bright career ahead of her I cannot drag her back like that,” Baraka added.
The couple is focused on growth, love, and supporting each other’s dreams before taking bigger steps.
