Ugandan singer Grace Khan, real name Grace Namuwulya, has addressed ongoing rumors claiming she had abandoned secular music to fully join gospel.
The “Boogera” hitmaker recently thrilled fans with a special online mini-concert, shared in episodes, where she opened up about her journey of faith and personal struggles before performing a few songs for her followers.

She later dropped a new gospel song titled “Lagila,” which reflects on her life challenges, recovery journey, and how God has helped her change for the better.
However, many netizens were quick to assume that her growing closeness with Pastor Aloysius Bugingo and Susan Makula meant she had officially switched from secular to gospel music.
In a recent TV interview, Grace Khan clarified that she is not quitting secular music, emphasizing that she is a versatile artist capable of doing both.

“Releasing gospel music doesn’t mean I switched. I have a friend, and we’re planning to release a love song. I’m a musician who inspires people through my songs gospel or otherwise. My talent doesn’t discriminate. I want my fans to know I haven’t switched to gospel; I just sing anything that inspires me,” Grace Khan said.
The singer further explained that “Lagila” was inspired by her healing process after struggling with alcohol addiction and time spent in rehab. She believes the song marks the start of a new, positive chapter in her life.
