NRM mobilizer and Salt TV presenter Jenifer Namutebi Nakangubi, popularly known as Full Figure, has publicly apologized to the Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) Executive Director, Hon. Nyombi Thembo, for using inappropriate language during her morning talk show, Omusunsuzi.
Her apology came after a meeting held yesterday at the UCC headquarters in Bugolobi, Kampala, attended by officials from UCC and top management from Salt Media.

The meeting followed UCC’s decision to suspend the Omusunsuzi program over violations of broadcasting standards, particularly the use of vulgar language during a time slot accessible to children.
During the engagement, Hon. Nyombi Thembo stressed the importance of professionalism and adherence to content regulations, especially in programs aired during family hours. He noted that broadcasters have a responsibility to promote decency, respect, and educational value in their shows.
Hon. Nyombi described the discussions with Salt Media as “constructive,” praising the station’s management for showing willingness to comply with broadcasting guidelines and improve content quality.

Full Figure, who attended the meeting in person, expressed deep remorse for her conduct, apologizing to UCC, her audience, and the general public. She acknowledged that her remarks were inappropriate and pledged to exercise greater caution in future broadcasts.
She further revealed plans to undertake professional media training to refine her communication and presentation skills, ensuring that Omusunsuzi aligns with national broadcasting standards and provides family-friendly, informative content.
Hon. Nyombi commended her for taking responsibility, calling the meeting “especially rewarding.” He welcomed her commitment to personal and professional growth and promised UCC’s support in her training efforts.
Meanwhile, Salt Media management pledged to conduct editorial and ethical training for all staff members to enhance journalistic integrity and promote responsible broadcasting across all its platforms.
UCC lauded the station’s cooperative attitude, emphasizing that collaboration between the regulator and media houses is essential for maintaining high standards in the broadcasting industry.

In closing, Hon. Nyombi applauded both Full Figure and Salt Media for choosing dialogue over confrontation.
“Our goal as a Commission is not to punish but to guide broadcasters toward better performance,I’m glad to see the host and her team working together to improve that’s the true spirit of responsible broadcasting.”,he said.
