Nation Media Group (NMG) has appointed Flavia Tumusiime as its new Head of Broadcast, a role that will see her oversee the organization’s television and radio stations, including Dembe FM, Spark TV, KFM, and NTV Uganda.
At 36 years old, Tumusiime, who currently hosts Desert Island Discs on Capital 91.3 FM, is stepping into this leadership position following NMG’s decision to eliminate the General Manager TV role, previously held by Johnson Omollo, who departed the company.
The newly created Head of Broadcast position replaces the former role.
Flavia joins NMG at a crucial time when the company is working to rebuild after the loss of several key presenters and is focused on revitalizing Dembe FM, which had been temporarily shut down.

Her media journey began at the young age of 14 when she started as a TV host on WBS TV, where she presented Teen’s Club. By 18, she transitioned into radio, starting at Hot100FM before moving to Capital Radio in 2006.
After spending a few years in radio, Flavia went on to work at Channel O for around four years and NTV newsroom before resigning to focus on her other personal business and family.
