Latest news reaching our news desk indicates that Twiine Charles, the former spokesperson for the Criminal Investigations Directorate (CID) and later attached to the Parliament Police Investigations Section, has been reported missing since Wednesday, according to his family.
Twiine Charles was last seen on Wednesday afternoon after leaving the police headquarters in Naguru, where he had gone for a scheduled meeting with the Inspector General of Police (IGP) at 7:00 a.m.
Family members say his vehicle remains parked at the Naguru police headquarters, but there has been no clear information about his whereabouts or the circumstances of his disappearance.
Earlier in the week, on Monday, Twiine Charles had been in Mbarara with a parliamentary committee. However, he abruptly ended the trip after receiving a summons to meet the IGP. He traveled from Mbarara to Kampala on Tuesday night.

His phones have been switched off since Wednesday afternoon, further deepening concern over his safety.
