Media Personality Etania Mutoni has finally revealed to why she turned down NBS TV’s job suggestion for NTV Uganda.
While appearing for her recent interview, Etania narrated that her raise to fame commenced with her love for parties and her natural ability to bring happiness to any gatherings that she never saw herself as a celebrity but her infectious energy and positive character made her a familiar face among party lovers.
She went to disclose that her energy and positive character caught the attention of TV stations during a lockdown competition between between the two giant TV stations NBS and NTV since the two stations hosted music and dance competition shows to enter their viewers during the international lockdown period.
That it is during this period the two giant stations approached her for a job but she Chose NTV Uganda job and turned down NBS TV ‘s job suggestion because at NTV it’s where she felt comfortable since she already had several good friends at Serena based TV station and it also received a better offer there.
She further disclosed that in decision she would shape her career and that her choice to join NTV opened doors for her to showcase her talent and connect with a wider audiance.
“During the COVID-19 times, there was quite a competition of entertainment shows on NTV and NBS. Both of them approached me for the job, but I chose NTV and started training for a few weeks. After that, I was on set and did an amazing job,” she said in an interview with a local television station.
With each appearance on NTV her popularity soared as she took the opportunity to further develop her skills as a DJ, events emcee and host.
Etania currently she is working with NRG Radio Uganda as host of NRG Circle program.
