The Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) President and Musician , Edirisa Musuuza alias Eddy Kenzo , has finally addressed his relationship with President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
It should be noted that on number of occasions , Eddy Kenzo has been accused of taking bribes from NRM which led by President Museveni to oppose strong hold Opposition leader Bobi Wine but maintains his unwavering support for both Bobi Wine and Museveni
During his recent exclusive interview, Eddy Kenzo shed light on his deep respect for President Museveni.
He explained that president is among his best friends and that he holds strong respect for him since he has always extended crucial support towards in Challenging period , citing that he is always grateful and holds strong respect for individuals who have been there for him.
He recapped challenging incident in Ivory coast during International lockdown and closure of airport, he stated that he was stuck, depressed and he was about to die that even friends had abandoned him but he looked for Museveni for solace and he was subsequently rescued with other several Ugandans after Museveni intervention.
When he was again put to task to explain whether his association with Museveni is not an act of betrayal to some of his fans and to his mentor Bobi Wine who always saw him as an Opposition leaning Musician, Kenzo said it is fine with him because he is not in war with anyone and that he still holds strong respect for Bobi Wine since he there for him at day one of his music career.
He clarified that his association with Museveni doesn’t signify betrayal to his fans or mentor Bobi Wine , as he values and respect everyone in his life.
