Eddy Kenzo Addresses Rumors of Running for Parliamentary Seat in 2026

Singer Edrisah  Musuuza alias  Eddy Kenzo has refuted rumors suggesting that he plans to contest in the 2026 parliamentary elections.

In response to the speculation, Kenzo clarified that he is not a politician and has no intentions of running for any political office.

Kenzo, who currently serves as the President of the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) and as a Senior Presidential Advisor on Creatives, explained that his focus is entirely on improving the music industry.

He emphasized that his involvement in these roles is driven by a passion to address issues within the sector, particularly promoting unity among Ugandan musicians and enhancing the working environment for all.

The UNMF president made it clear that his positions are not motivated by a desire for leadership, but rather by a responsibility to resolve long-standing challenges within the industry.

Finally, Eddy Kenzo shared that once these issues are addressed, he plans to step aside and allow others to take the reins, while he pursues other personal endeavors.
