Pastor, Aloysius Bugingo, narrowly escaped an assassination attempt on Tuesday evening while on his way back home and tragically, his driver succumbed to injuries, and his bodyguard, Muhumuza Richard, was fatally shot during the attack.
According to reports, Bugingo, was rushed to Mulago Hospital’s ICU as the Kampala Metropolitan Police Deputy Spokesperson, Asp Luke Owoyesigyire, confirmed the attempted murder and assured a comprehensive investigation into the incident
Luke said that Unidentified assailants fired upon Bugingo’s vehicle, “PRAIZ GOD,” at Bwalakata Junction along National Housing Road, fleeing on a motorcycle.
Despite injuries, Bugingo managed to transport the vehicle to Mulago Hospital. Unfortunately, his bodyguard, Muhumuza Richard, did not survive. Bugingo, now stable, undergoes medical treatment.
