Dax Vibez, singer and younger brother of opposition leader and musician Bobi Wine, has broken his silence following his recent release from detention in Jinja.
He had been arrested alongside his brother and fellow artist, Mikie Wine last week after performance.
In a heartfelt statement, Dax revealed disturbing details of his time in custody, claiming he was physically assaulted and subjected to degrading treatment, including an incident where unknown individuals squeezed his private parts.
Dax explained that he was on his way back to Kampala when he received a distress call from Mikie Wine, who said he was in trouble. Concerned, Dax turned back and found his brother at a police station in Jinja.
“When I arrived, some people there started touching me,When I pushed them away, I was suddenly accused of fighting with the DPC and others, and they arrested me.”,he recounted.

The two brothers were held for two days, though Dax described the experience as feeling much longer. He said Mikie suffered a painful ulcer attack during their detention, while he himself endured physical abuse.
“I was beaten, and my private parts were squeezed. But I’m a ghetto youth. I’ll survive.”,he said.
So far, the police have not issued any official statement in response to the allegations.
