Popular Ugandan musician David Lutalo has ended his long-standing working relationship with his manager, Nasser, after years of working together.
The announcement was made by Lutalo during a recent media interview.
While the musician did not go into specifics about the reason behind the separation, he subtly hinted at issues of dishonesty without revealing further details.
Lutalo clarified that moving forward, anyone wishing to work with him should contact him directly, using his own contact number, and not through Manager Nasser or any unauthorized phone lines.
“Manager Nasser is no longer my manager, and those wishing to book me should reach out using the same number. Anyone who goes through him risks being misled. If there’s any change in our situation, I will inform you,” Lutalo stated.
He further emphasized that any payments or dealings made through Nasser concerning his career will not reach him and are not being reported to him. “There is no ongoing relationship between us,” he confirmed.
At present, David Lutalo does not have a manager. He admitted that he is in no rush to find a replacement, as anyone who takes on the role must meet his high standards.
“Being my manager is a full-time commitment, and anyone interested must undergo a thorough vetting process. I’m not rushing to appoint anyone because I have strict terms for those who wish to manage me,” he explained.
Lutalo, known for having changed managers several times throughout his career, explained that his primary focus is on satisfying his fans. If anything or anyone hinders that goal, he feels he has no choice but to move on.
