Cindy Sanyu Hints at The Possibility of Retiring From Music As She Nears 50 Years

Uganda Musicians Association ( UMA) president , Cindy Sanyu has recently hinted at the possibility of retiring from the music industry.

In an interview with Mr.Henrie on Galaxy TV’s ‘ Deep Talk” show ,she opened up about her future plans and aspirations for her music career.

Having dedicated herself to the music industry since her youthful , Cindy has undoubtedly made a significant impact on the Uganda Music scene.However that there is still more to achieve and dreams yet to be fulfilled.

In her interview , the ” Boom Party” singer expressed her intentions to gradually slow down her workload as she approaches the age of 50, however she noted that at age of 60 she want to make come back as she disclosed that she want to die while Performing for her people.

Cinderella Sanyu popularly known as Cindy Sanyu was one of the three original members of Blue 3, along with Lilian Mbabazi and Jackie Chandiru.

Cindy has performed on the same stage as Psquare, Wahu, Tiwa Savage, Shaggy, and Davido, among others.

Cindy is one of the best female dancehall artists in East Africa right now. She is also the owner of a band called Band Cindy

Her debut solo album ‘Ayokyayokya'(2009) is still topping charts all over East Africa with hits like ‘Mbikooye’ and ‘Nawewe’ (2008), ‘Ayokyayokya’ (2009) and ‘One and Only’ (2010) among others.

Cindy has won 3 national awards for her solo work and other 3 awards as a member of BLU*3. As a young girl,Cindy never got a chance to sing in her school choir because she was ‘tiny’ so her musical talents were nurtured in church and at home by her mother.
