Ugandan songbird Carol Nantongo is officially off the market after announcing her engagement to her longtime lover Dylann Delan, son to former Golden Band vocalist Mesach Semakula.
The engagement, which took place on Thursday evening, was a beautiful, invite-only affair attended by a circle of close friends including Caroline Marcah, Spice Diana, Kais Divo, and Florence Nampijja, among others.
Soon after saying “YES,” the Oliwa hitmaker rushed to social media to share her joy with fans, confirming that she had accepted a proposal from the man she calls her best friend.
Carol poured out her heart in a touching message:
“I SAID YES TO MY BEST FRIEND ❤️
Love, marriage, and commitment are three rare treasures… I am so deeply blessed to have discovered all three in one person. You are my forever gift. Oooooh Daddy Come Mummy! ❤️😂💃🏃♀️”
The couple, who have been together for several years, have openly shared a blissful and supportive relationship one they have now sealed with a sparkling engagement.
Music legend Mesach Semakula also took to his social platforms to confirm the happy news and warmly welcome Carol into the Semakula family.
He wrote:
“Welcome to our family! We’ve watched your love for our son grow, and we are so happy to officially welcome you. You have our full support and love as you start this new chapter. 💕💕💕”
