Ugandan songbird Carol Nantongo and her longtime fiancé Dylan Ssemwogere, son of veteran musician Mesach Semakula, took another big step in their love journey with a vibrant Kukyala ceremony held on December 10 at Carol’s parents’ home in Namugongo, Kampala.
The intimate, invite-only ceremony saw Dylan officially visit Carol’s family, marking the traditional beginning of their road to marriage. The groom’s delegation arrived with the required customary gifts before both families exchanged blessings and discussed bride-price arrangements.
Carol and Dylan have been together for eight solid years, building a relationship many describe as steady and inspiring. Just last month, the couple celebrated a beautiful engagement surrounded by close friends and relatives.
Their Kukyala now sets the stage for the bigger event,which is their introduction ceremony and expected to take place next year, with the exact date yet to be revealed.
