Uganda Police has denied arresting Presidential aspirant and singer Bobi Wine at Entebbe international airport, saying instead the singer had been escorted and taken to his home .
Ealier today , reports confirmed Bobi Wine was held into custody and whisked away in a waiting Police convoy at the Entebbe Airport on his arrival from disapora political mobilisation tours
The reports that followed the development suggested that Bobi Wine had been arrested, and taken to an unknown destination.
However the Uganda Police has released statement diluting the allegations , confirming escorting singer to his home in Magere – wakiso district.
“We wish to inform the public that the NUP President, Hon. Kyagulanyi Robert was successfully escorted by our security team from Entebbe to his home in Magere. He reached his home around 11.20am, and is with his family and friends. Disregard rumors of his arrest by propagandists. Meanwhile, business activities and movements along Entebbe road, within Kampala and Gayaza, are flowing smoothly.”, Uganda Police confirmed
