The former Kampala Capital City Authority Lord Mayorship Candidate and Democratic Party Research Assistant, Beatrice Kayanja has made it official with her lover, Norbert Mao President of the Democratic party and Minister for Justice and Constitutional Affairs.
The lovers kept the Kukyala event a secret.Mao Norbert visited the parents of Beatrice Kayanja over the weekend in Najjanankumbi along Entebbe Road.
According to our sources ,the DP President presented a bulk cheque as dowry to the Parents of Beatrice Kayanja.
Furthermore,the private lavish ceremony was attended by a few family members and friends some including: Hon Thomas Tayebwa the deputy speaker of Parliament.
Beatrice Kayanja and Mao have been battling with different issues amidst their relationship but Mao had to make the first step to make things official between then hence the Kukyala, soon the Introduction and wedding Ceremonies.
Beatrice ,who used to be Mao’s research assistant, parted ways with her husband Martin Kayanja after successful filed a divorce petition at the family court in Makindye , Kampala in February 2021 and embarked on new love affair with her former boss Mao.
On the other hand, also Mao’s 16- year marriage to Naomi Acheing Adong was dissolved by High Court ( Family) in 2019.
Justice Godfrey Namundi dissolved the marriage in his judgment delivered on May 27, 2019, on a petition filed by Achieng accusing Mao of cruelty and desertion. Mao, who had three children with Achieng following their civil marriage on August 8, 2003, is said to have deserted his wife for eight years.
It should be recalled In December 2021, Martin Kayanja, when being divorced by his wife Beatrice, accused Norbert Mao of calling his wife late in the night at ungodly hours and now they have made official.
