Ugandan singer Ava Peace has recently found herself at the center of online controversy after calling out older musicians for allegedly sabotaging the careers of emerging artists.

During her Independence Day performance in Ntinda, the Team No Sleep (TNS) star paused mid-performance to share a powerful message about unity and growth in the music industry.

“Uganda is so big; everyone can shine. There’s no need to sabotage others’ careers,” she told the crowd.

The “Kibooko” Singer revealed that she has personally faced attacks from rival artists and their fan bases. Despite the negativity, she said she chooses to remain peaceful and focused on her music.

“This is a new generation  where everyone should be allowed to create and prosper, some of us stay quiet, but we see what happens. God brought us here, and we shall always shine”,she added.

Her remarks quickly went viral, sparking a heated debate across social media. While some fans praised her bravery for speaking up, others accused her of showing disrespect toward the veteran artists who helped shape Uganda’s music scene.

Ava’s message, however, remains clear the industry is big enough for everyone to succeed.
