Singer Ava Peace, whose real name is Maureen Peace Namugonza, has spoken out about the harrowing abuse she endured in a previous relationship.
Speaking during singer Bruno K’s TikTok live show Ekiboozi, the Team No Sleep (TNS) artist shared emotional details of how close she came to losing her life due to domestic violence.
Without naming her abuser, Ava revealed that she was frequently subjected to severe beatings and strangulation, often left with visible injuries on her body.
“He began beating me, accusing me of reacting poorly even when he was in the wrong.There were times he would strangle me. I almost died in that relationship.”Ava said. ”
She also recounted a terrifying incident where her ex threw a glass at her, narrowly missing her face.
According to Ava, her former partner was extremely jealous and would become upset whenever other people spoke to her in public.
