Singer Alien Skin has announced that he will hold his upcoming concert at Lugogo Cricket Oval in Kampala, following a last-minute cancellation by Hotel Africana.
The “Party” hitmaker had initially planned to host the concert at Hotel Africana in February, but the hotel management declined his offer .
Alien Skin stated that the hotel’s decision was based on concerns about overcrowding, potential property damage, and security risks.
However, the situation took a positive turn when Nobat Events, the concert organizer, revealed on Monday, February 10th, that they had secured a new venue at Lugogo Cricket Oval.
According to a formal letter from the National Council of Sports (NCS), the venue is available for use, provided Alien Skin’s team complies with the outlined guidelines.
The requirements for booking the venue include a Ugx 15M payment, with the booking confirmed only after full payment. Additionally, the concert will need police clearance and security arrangements, while charcoal stove outlets must be positioned away from the cricket field. Necessary permits from relevant authorities are also mandatory.
Alien Skin’s concert is now scheduled for February 21st, 2025, at Lugogo Cricket Oval, and preparations for the event are currently in progress.
