This is a moment that Uganda’s renowned Afrigo Band members Will not forget anytime soon . According to several local media ,the Afrigo Band members they were stuck at an airport in Turkey.
This was due to reserve in their travel schedule.
According to the reports, the musicians were returning from their last European tour show in Stockholm, Sweden and had to catch a connecting flight in Istanbul.
However their flight from Stockholm was delayed by about two hours, and they ended up missing their connecting flight to Entebbe.
Upon landing in Istanbul, the band members were informed that they could not leave the airport because they lacked transit visas allowing them into Turkey and they had to spend the night inside the terminal
By Monday evening, the band members had reportedly reached out to Ugandans living in Turkey and the Ugandan Consulate seeking help.
It is understood that the next flight to Entebbe is not due until tomorrow, Wednesday, October 4.
It was still unclear why the band members were not assisted with accommodation by Turkish Airlines.
