Fangone Forest boss Alien Skin, real name Patrick Mulwana, has finally opened up on why he suddenly stopped performing at NRM campaign rallies after weeks of active appearances.

Alien Skin, who joined the campaign trail later than most entertainers, had been performing across several districts before going completely silent. Now, he says the decision was driven by personal conviction and internal friction within the NRM camp.

Speaking during a live TikTok interview, the “Towakana” singer revealed that old feelings resurfaced when he remembered how he used to view musicians who entertained at government events before he joined the industry.

“I started thinking about my boys in the ghetto and how I used to view musicians who perform for government. Those feelings came back, so I stepped back,” he said.

Alien Skin further noted that some musicians and individuals inside the ruling party allegedly pushed him out, claiming he would “cause chaos” at campaign venues. He says the negativity made him feel unwanted, prompting him to withdraw completely.

His move has created fresh conversation both in the entertainment space and political circles, especially after his recent fallout with NUP supporters and their president, Bobi Wine a situation that had many branding him NRM-leaning.

Alien Skin’s sudden U-turn has now sparked new debate on what really goes on behind the scenes of political campaigns.
