Doctors at TMR International Hospital have given a fresh update on the condition of TikTok sensation Jayden, real name Timothy Kayanja, who was rushed to the facility in critical condition last Friday.
According to medics, the young content creator urgently needs over $100,000 for a life-saving bone marrow transplant in either Turkey or India.
Dr. Daniel M. Talemwa, the Executive Director at TMR, revealed that their top priority is keeping Jayden stable as they raise funds for the specialised treatment.
“Jayden needs me, needs you. This message will help us raise funding to support him,” Dr. Talemwa appealed.
Jayden is currently under the care of intensivist Dr. Erasmus Okello, who said the TikToker was in a dangerous state when he arrived.
He had suffered a severe sickle-cell crisis that quickly reduced oxygen flow to critical organs.
“His haemoglobin was extremely low and his organs had started shutting down. He was in real trouble,” Dr. Okello explained.
The crisis later escalated into acute chest complications, dangerously low oxygen levels, and intense pain—classic signs of severe sickle-cell attacks
Doctors immediately put him on oxygen therapy, IV treatment, and ran several tests to rule out infections and identify possible triggers like dehydration or stress.
Blood transfusions were also administered to reduce sickled cells in his bloodstream.
By Saturday evening, Jayden had improved and was even able to interact with family, requiring only minimal oxygen support.
With the emergency phase handled, the medical team moved him to long-term care to prevent any relapse.
“We had to shift to preventive management so he can go home safely,” Dr. Okello added.
Doctors say the only permanent solution for Jayden is a bone marrow transplant—which is extremely costly.
The procedure, available in Turkey or India, costs over $100,000, an amount the family cannot afford.
TMR Hospital is now appealing to the public, well-wishers, and fans to support the fundraising drive and help the young star get a second chance at life.
