Ugandan singer A Pass has finally responded to the heated criticism surrounding his noticeable absence from Bobi Wine’s campaign rallies,the National Unity Platform (NUP) presidential Candidate despite being one of his longtime friends.
With campaign season in full swing and musicians lighting up political stages across the country, many wondered why the Tuli Kubigere star wasn’t among artistes like King Saha and Fik Fameica among others who are actively performing at NUP rallies.
But A Pass says people are getting it twisted.
Speaking during an interview on Spark TV’s Daily Soup, the singer made it clear that support doesn’t always require showing up physically.
“Bobi Wine is my friend. I can campaign for him online. There’s no need for me to attend rallies. Whoever wants to go should go but me, I don’t go there,” A Pass said.
He explained that digital support is equally powerful, adding that loyalty isn’t measured by how loudly you shout on a podium but by how consistently you stand with your friend whether online or offline.
His absence has already sparked whispers about where he truly stands, but A Pass insists his loyalty to Bobi Wine has never wavered.
