Singer-turned-politician Nina Roz is finally breathing a sigh of relief after her father, Mathias Nsemereirwe, was granted bail by the Ssembabule Magistrate’s Court, saving him from spending yet another night in jail.
Nsemereirwe, who is also father to the Ssembabule District Woman MP aspirant, was recently arrested in connection with an alleged cattle theft case in Rutunku, Lugusulu Sub-county, near President Museveni’s Kisozi farm in Gomba District.

According to police, investigations linked him to the incident through another suspect, Nyamuhanga, who reportedly named him as an accomplice.
However, Nina Roz strongly dismissed all the allegations, calling them baseless propaganda meant to distort the truth for political gain. She insists her father was only arrested after his cow mistakenly strayed onto land said to belong to President Museveni.
On Tuesday, 18th November 2025, his lawyer and Kampala Woman MP aspirant Shamim Malende made another bail application this time successfully.

In a video shared by Malende, the magistrate said he was satisfied with the sureties presented.
Nsemereirwe was ordered to pay UGX 1 million cash, while his sureties were tasked with UGX 3 million non-cash. He is expected back in court on December 2.
