Uganda Cubs to Face Mighty Senegal in FIFA U17 World Cup Knockout Clash

Uganda’s U17 Boys’ National Team, The Cubs, are set for a thrilling showdown against West African giants Senegal in the Round of 32 at the ongoing FIFA U17 World Cup in Qatar.

After making history by storming through the group stages, the young Ugandan side continues to defy the odds on the global stage.

In a memorable match, star forward James Bogere fired Uganda to their first-ever World Cup victory, netting the decisive goal against France on Tuesday.

The win not only marked a major milestone for the Cubs but also secured their spot in the knockout phase.

Interestingly, all four teams in Group K — France, Uganda, Chile, and Canada  ended the group stage with four points each, but Uganda progressed on goal difference.

Meanwhile, their opponents Senegal topped Group C with seven points and are the only African side among ten teams to finish as group leaders.

The high-stakes encounter between Uganda and Senegal is slated for 15th November, with the winner set to face either Germany or Burkina Faso in the next round.
