Media personality and Masala Woman MP aspirant Justine Nameere has publicly denied any involvement in the recent assault of political mobiliser and veteran singer Jennifer Nakangubi, popularly known as Jennifer Full Figure.
Last week, social media was flooded with video clips showing two unidentified men physically attacking Full Figure before fleeing the scene in a waiting vehicle.
A third person, believed to be filming the incident, could be heard urging the attackers on allegedly questioning Full Figure about her repeated insults toward Justine Nameere on social media.
In the aftermath, Full Figure filed a police report accusing Justine Nameere of orchestrating the attack. She claimed one of the men seen assaulting her in the footage was Nameere’s husband, Nsubuga.
However, Nameere has strongly denied these allegations.
Taking to social media, she asserted that the voice heard in the background was fabricated, possibly using AI technology.
She referenced a recent incident involving a viral audio clip falsely attributed to the Speaker of Parliament, which was later debunked as AI-generated.
“It may sound like the person, but that doesn’t make it true. The individuals in the video do not resemble my husband at all,” Nameere stated.
She further claimed that Full Figure initially told police she had been attacked by hired goons who dragged her into a dark corner and stabbed her multiple times, only to later revise her statement and accuse Nameere’s husband of the beating.
According to Nameere, the accusations are an attempt by Full Figure to manipulate public opinion and frame her and her husband, who she says were recent targets of Full Figure’s insults on TikTok livestreams.
Nameere urged police to take a broader look at the situation by examining the many individuals Full Figure has allegedly harassed online.
“To the IGP and all relevant authorities, I urge you to investigate this matter thoroughly. Look into the numerous complaints made against Full Figure. I’ve even heard reports that she sometimes assaults people who try to report her, even in front of police officers,” she said.
Nameere’s statements come as police continue their investigation and assure both the public and the victim that the perpetrators will be brought to justice.
