After a widely publicized split from her husband Acram Gumisiriza, Hajat Kulthum Nabunya has firmly stated she has no intention of remarrying at least not in the public eye.
Speaking candidly in recent interview with one of local TV stations, Kulthum reflected on the hard lessons learned from her failed marriage, revealing a deeper awareness of the impact of negativity, jealousy, and even spiritual interference from outsiders.
“Even if I choose to marry again, the public will only see me not my partner. I’ve realized that some people actively work against relationships. There are those with ill intentions, even witches.”,she said.
Kulthum admitted that one of her biggest regrets was making her relationship so visible to the public.
In her view, marital challenges are best resolved privately, but once outsiders are involved, the situation becomes nearly unmanageable.
“There were times I’d hear things about my marriage from strangers things I couldn’t even explain.Because of my public status, I felt pressured, and it all became too much. People were attacking my relationship.”,she shared.
She also criticized bloggers for fueling the fire, accusing them of mixing facts with falsehoods, which left her emotionally exhausted.
In the end, Kulthum says, the relentless pressure and confusion pushed her to walk away for good.
