Media personality Robinah Mbabazi, popularly known as Bina Babie, has spoken out to dispel longstanding rumors about her relationship with Pastor Aloysius Bugingo, the lead pastor of House of Prayer Ministries.

Bina clarified that while she shared a close friendship with Pastor Bugingo in the past, their connection was purely platonic. She described him as a supportive friend who even taught her how to drive.

“Pastor Bugingo was the one who taught me how to drive. He also helped me buy my first car, a RAV4, but it was with my own money.I took out a salary loan, told him the kind of car I wanted, and he found it for me. He then taught me how to drive using that same car, especially after my driving school sessions.”,she said.

She emphasized that, despite their closeness, there was never a romantic relationship between them.

“There was nothing between us romantically. I wasn’t particularly close to Teddy Bugingo [his then-wife] because she had a different impression of me, but nothing ever happened.”,she clarified.

Bina also credited Pastor Bugingo with offering spiritual support during a difficult period in her life, especially after the death of her father. She said he helped her and her mother grow closer to God during that time.

“He was a source of comfort when I was going through a lot. I could confide in him and seek advice when I felt overwhelmed,” she added.

She also addressed the criticism she faced when she publicly defended Bugingo amid his controversy with Susan Makula.

Bina explained that her support stemmed from the respect and trust she had in him due to the guidance he had previously offered her not because of any personal involvement.
