Singer Alien Skin has announced that journalists will be required to pay an entrance fee to attend his upcoming concert on February 21st at Lugogo Cricket Oval in Kampala.
Traditionally, journalists are often given complimentary access to events as a gesture of respect for their role in promoting and covering these events. However, Alien Skin is taking a different approach for his concert.
Speaking to the media after confirming the new concert venue, Alien made it clear that journalists will need to pay to attend.

“Journalists will pay an entrance fee to come to my concert. They can’t damage my reputation for free. Why not invest in gossip?” he remarked.
He added, “There are over 200 journalists, and each will need to pay either Ugx 20k or Ugx 50k to enter. If you’d like, you can even buy a table for Ugx 3M and spread the gossip with more authority.”
This announcement comes after Alien Skin was forced to find a new venue for his forthcoming concert.

Originally scheduled to take place at Hotel Africana, the event was relocated to Lugogo Cricket Oval after security concerns led to the hotel’s cancellation.
