Mayinja follows in the footsteps of other artists, such as Catherine Kusasira, Big Eye Starboss, Tuff B, Eddy Yawe, Viboyo Oweyo, King Saha, and Reign, who have also expressed their ambitions to take on leadership roles in the 2026 elections.

Best known for his songs that critiqued the NRM government and called for justice, Mayinja rose to fame in Uganda.

His educational background includes attending Mpenja Primary School and Namirembe Infant Primary School, before joining St. Peter’s Nsambya for his O and A levels in 1994 and 1996, respectively. Although he began studying Business Administration at the National College of Business Studies (now MUBS), Mayinja dropped out after a year and a half to focus on music.

In 2014, he pursued a diploma in Human Resource Management at Kampala International University and has recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences from Makerere University. A proud father of six, Mayinja is now gearing up for his political journey.
